Highway Advisory Radio 1620 AM communicates real time
traffic information directly to Lake County motorists.
Broadcast information includes location of delays due to
crashes, construction and extreme traffic congestion to help
motorists in planning their commute. Right now, three
transmitters provide real time traffic information to
central and eastern Lake County. Two additional transmitters
are part of a construction project that is underway, which
will expand coverage to encompass all of Lake County. These
new transmitters should be operational in 2010.
